HANOS attaches great importance to protecting your privacy and the personal data you provide to us. That is why this privacy statement explains which of your data we process and why we do so. In doing so, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). We recommend that you read our privacy statement carefully.
Who processes your personal data?
HANOS is part of Admidex B.V., located at Laan van de Leeuw 4, 7324 BD Apeldoorn (the Netherlands), registered under Chamber of Commerce number 09066018. Admidex B.V. is the controller for all processing of your personal data mentioned in this privacy statement.
What is personal data?
Information about people that makes them identifiable (directly or in combination with other data) is what we call personal data. Examples of personal data are your (company) name, address, place of residence, date of birth, telephone number and email address. The login details of your HANOS account and IP addresses are also personal data.
From whom does HANOS collect personal data?
HANOS obtains and processes personal data from people who purchase products or services, website visitors, or third parties who contact HANOS. For example, if you:
apply for a customer card;
place an order;
indicate that you would like to receive our newsletters;
take part in a competition or promotion;
take part in surveys or (customer panel) research;
log in to your HANOS account or via social media;
work at or for us;
apply for a job with us or contact us about this;
have a business relationship with HANOS;
enter or leave your details at one of our branches.
Contact with HANOS can take place via:
telephone;
written correspondence;
the contact form on HANOS.nl, for example to request the HANOS Courant;
email;
the registration form to apply for the HANOS customer card;
the registration form to sign up for our email newsletters;
a link included in an email newsletter we sent you or another electronic message offered to you.
Your data may also come to HANOS when we take over another company.
What personal data does HANOS collect?
HANOS collects at least the following personal data:
Personal details: your (company) name, address, place of residence, gender, (mobile) telephone number and email address;
Order data (for example which items you order from HANOS);
(Interaction) data (for example your IP address, cookie IDs, browsing behaviour and which pages you visit on www.hanos.nl, email preferences for the email newsletters, open and click behaviour for the email newsletters, preferences/interests, opinions, use of social media and contact with customer service).
Data of job applicants (for example date and place of birth, marital status, nationality, payslip with IBAN, Dutch citizen service number (BSN), driving licence, bank card, ID, salary indication and availability, education and work experience, cover letter, test results).
On what legal basis does HANOS process personal data?
HANOS processes personal data where this is necessary for the performance of the contract with its customers, for example data needed to take and deliver your order and to keep in touch with you about (the progress of) these orders.
HANOS also processes personal data on the basis of your consent or a legitimate interest of HANOS. This legitimate interest consists of HANOS being able to make better offers to its customers and website visitors if it has data about your use of the website and your preferences.
We also process your personal data if you apply to HANOS for a job or internship. Sometimes we carry out additional screening because you are applying for a position in which you come into contact with money, confidential information or products.
Finally, HANOS may process personal data on the basis of a legal obligation.
For what purposes does HANOS process personal data?
HANOS processes personal data for the following purposes:
Performing the contract between HANOS and its customers: processing orders, delivering orders, providing information about orders;
Maintaining a customer database for future orders;
Preparing and issuing a personal quotation;
Improving the user-friendliness of the websites to offer optimal ease of use;
Carrying out internal (quality) analyses and product development to improve our products and services for you;
Informing you about interesting developments, promotions and offers via various (digital) communication channels;
Conducting application procedures.
To achieve these purposes, HANOS links, combines and analyses available (personal) data (as mentioned in this privacy statement) in order to determine and align the most relevant target groups and segments, content, information, moments and channels. This allows us to limit the number of times we contact you. In certain cases, this is done fully automatically.
Retention periods
HANOS does not keep your personal data longer than necessary to provide you with a good and careful service and to meet your wishes. When we no longer need your data, it is destroyed.
Sharing data with third parties
We do not share your personal data with other parties unless this is necessary for providing our services/performing the contract, or HANOS is required to do so by law.
These parties only process your personal data in the way HANOS instructs them to. HANOS does not sell or provide your personal data to third parties.
HANOS and other websites
Our website contains a number of links to other websites. This privacy statement does not apply to those other websites. HANOS is not responsible for how these websites handle your personal information. Please read the privacy statement, if any, of the website you are visiting.
Cookie statement
HANOS uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files placed by a web page on a PC, tablet or mobile phone. Cookies ensure, for example, that our website works optimally. Read more about cookies in our cookie statement.
Security
HANOS attaches great importance to securing personal data. HANOS takes various technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypting financial data and passwords and using firewalls and secure servers.
Camera surveillance
HANOS has equipped its stores and car parks with clearly visible cameras to protect the safety of our employees, customers and property and to provide support in emergencies. When you enter our premises and stores, you are also informed of the presence of cameras. HANOS keeps camera images for a maximum of 28 days. If there is a valid reason (e.g. a police investigation), camera images are kept longer, but no longer than necessary.
Your rights
If we process your personal data, you can request access to this data, or ask for it to be corrected, transferred to another party, deleted or for its processing to be restricted. You can also object to receiving information from HANOS by telephone, post or email, unless this information is necessary for the services we provide to you. You are also entitled to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data.
